Every December 26, I vow that the next year will be the year I get ahead of the ball—start shopping in October, enjoy my December without the stress of crossing every single person off my list. Then, every December 19, I find myself here: Shipping from my favorite brands no longer guarantees arrival by Christmas Day, I’ve only completed shopping for two people, and I’m scouring Prime to see what gifts I can get—that people will actually love—that I’ll have time to wrap and place under the tree before Christmas morning. My favorite gift to give is a book I think that person will love, and I made a list of my top 10 books of 2019 if you’re going that route and would like some inspiration.
